Susan GreenSelection Committee Chair
Susan has been involved in many community based organizations. Most significantly, she was involved in starting the first school lunch program and in establishing school nutrition programs provincially. For some time, she worked as Executive Director of Kids Eat Smart, volunteered nationally on the Board of Breakfast for Learning and chaired the National Advisory Committee on Child Nutrition. Her contribution to food security was recognized by receiving the Queens Golden Jubilee medal in 2002 and the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2011. Susan continues to volunteer as the Chair of the Food Security Network.
Charles is owner of TOTAL Insulation & Coatings Limited and TOTAL InSolutions Limited - two companies involved in the residential and commercial construction industry. A Certified Management Accountant, Charles held various financial and senior management roles including Controller, Regional Director of Finance, Publisher, and provincial Group Publisher over a 20-year career with The Telegram. He is an active volunteer, currently serving on the Provincial Council of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and co-founder of the NL Volunteer Hall of Fame. An active Rotarian, Charles co-chairs the Rotary Club of St. John's Northwest Annual Gala and has served on district committees and in local executive positions. He has also served as a coach and at the executive level with various community and sports associations.
The Honourable Edward RobertsCM, ONL, QC
Edward has taken an active part in the legal and public life of Newfoundland and Labrador for 45 years. Called to the Newfoundland Bar early in 1965, he conducted an extensive litigation practice, and has appeared before courts at every level in Canada. He served as a member of the House of Assembly for 23 years, eight as a Minister and five of them as Leader of the Opposition. He was the 11th Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador between November 2002 and January 2008. He has served on many boards representing a variety of interests and causes.
